More to Music Initiative
Learning From Working Professionals
The More to Music Initiative is a multi-week program delivered inside or outside of the classroom. The program takes music education to the next level by giving student participants an innovative and unique opportunity to gain first‐hand experience inside the music, film and digital media industries.
Participants learn from working professionals and use leading edge software to create their own artwork, animations, simulations, multi‐media presentations, virtual realities, musical creations, websites.
Career and Coding Academy
Music and Technology
Our Career and Coding Academy explores the relationship between music and technology. The program introduces students to the idea that a vibrant music economy drives value for cities in several important ways.
It fuels job creation, economic growth, tourism development and artistic growth, and strengthens a city’s brand. A strong music community also attracts highly skilled young workers in all sectors for whom quality of life is a priority. This in turn attracts business investment.
Programs cover a diverse range of career opportunities within these expanding Georgia industries while advancing the health and well-being of young people.
Master Class
Sharing Career Experiences
The MEG Master Class program is delivered as an in-school program which exposes students to multiple careers in the music, film and digital media industries.
Participants learn about career options from a diverse group of dedicated experts, including national recording artists, songwriters, entertainment lawyers, record label producers and executives, music critics, audio architects and other industry insiders.
Holiday Giving Program
Get Involved, Take Action
We recognize that we have the power to make a real and positive change in the community. This is a favorite program among all of our volunteers, as they have the chance to celebrate the Holiday Season with the young people who have worked hard in our programs all year.
